Hello,

My name is Tracy Sax and this is my story about how I gained my passion for decorating cakes.  I was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah in a family where creativity was encouraged.  At the age of 10 I joined 4-H and my 4-H leader was a professional cake decorator.  She introduced me to the art of making cakes and showed me how much fun it could be to decorate cakes and to create works of art.  I graduated from High School, headed off to college and later met my husband.  He was a recent graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy when I first met him, we subsequently married and we quickly headed off to his flight school in Pensacola, Florida.  Following his “winging,” we moved to San Diego, California where he served as a carrier-based naval flight officer for four years.  During our stay in San Diego, our oldest son was born. After California, we moved to Rochester, New York where my husband served as an NROTC instructor.  During our stay in Rochester our second child, our daughter was born.  Also during our time at the University of Rochester, my husband earned his MBA.  At the completion of this tour, my husband left active duty, we returned to our home state of Utah, started his business career, and our youngest son was born.  As my young family progressed in school and extracurricular activities, I enjoyed making many birthday cakes and creating cake art for many special events, school events, and sports ceremonies.  Also, I was involved in my church activities where I was able to use my cake decorating talents as well.  After several years in Utah, my husband’s career took us to Cary, North Carolina where we begin our next family adventure.  North Carolina is where we have watched our children grow up and embark upon their own personal journeys.  I have always supported and encouraged my husband and family to chase their dreams.  Now, through the encouragement of my family, I have embarked upon this new adventure of cake decorating.  I look forward to hearing from you, designing cakes or cupcakes to help you mark all your special events.
